OVW TV #932: "Less Talk, More Action"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, June 28, 2017. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html. In this episode, a 6-man tag main event is set up after Dean Hill complains that he's tired of all the talking, Rev. Stu defends the OVW TV Title, the TV debuts of Randall Floyd & the Vet Express, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"The Bro Godz": Colton Cage & Dustin Jackson defeat "The Void": Chace Destiny & Damion (w/Jade Dawson). Dustin & Colton work over the arms of Chace & Damion. The Void gets the upper hand on Dustin, while Colton chants "Bro" and does a little dance on the apron. Damion & Dustin double clothesline each other. Colton & Chace are tagged in, and Colton fires away. He hits a sideburn effect for 2, but then connects with a high knee to the face and gets the 3 despite Jade trying to interfere and throw in a chair.

Houdini defeats Dre Blitz. Blitz dominates most of the match and hits the Jello Jiggle splash, but misses 2 big elbow drops. Houdini comes back, but Blitz looks to regain control and go for a suplex. Houdini reverses into an inside cradle and gets the 3.

A very cool moment before the show begins as Ron Hed brings out Rev. Stu. They talk about Matt Cappotelli and his battle with brain cancer. He had surgery 10 years ago, and today it is back. He will have surgery again tomorrow, and Stu talks about how much Matt means to everyone in the locker room. He says a prayer for Matt that is recorded to send to him.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html.

Gilbert Corsey, Dr. Ted McNaler, & Ron Hed are on commentary, and KC is the ring announcer.

Gilbert Corsey brings out Zo. Zo says things have happened involving Dapper Dan and Adam Revolver that have cut him down from what he is trying to accomplish. He has unfinished business with the watered down Legacy of Brutality 2.0 and wants both of them right now! Dapper Dan & Ca$h Flo come out and say they are the real definition of Brutality and if he wants them, he's got it.
Justin Smooth comes out and says he has Zo's back and is sorry he wasn't here last week to help watch it. Adam Revolver comes out and says he beat Zo fair and square, just like he beat Tyler Matrix. Matrix comes out and says he recalls Adam backing in to that match.
Dean Hill comes out and starts yelling that this is ridiculous. This is not a talk show, it's a wrestling show! He is tired of interruptions, and from now on, there will be fines. Adam Slade's music hits and he does a lap around the ring. Dean asks what that was, and says Slade is getting a $500 fine. He then says it's time to deal with the problems instead of talking about them. These 6 men will be in the main event tonight! He tells everyone to get out of his ring, we have a TV Title match next!

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stu Miles (c) defeats "Livewire" KTD. A back and forth opening. Stu starts to take the upper hand with the Holy Trinity of chops. He splashes KTD in the corner, and delivers some healing. He then takes him down with the claw slam for the 3.
After the match, the Void runs out and attacks Stu. Chace Destiny & Damion hold him, while Jade Dawson hits him. David Lee Lorenze III runs out and starts clearing the ring of the Void, hitting them with his clapperboard. He then turns and hits Stu with it also. He says he is the star...and scene!

"The Real Deal" Randall Floyd defeats "The Winter Swoldier" Adam Slade. Slade dominates most of this match, hitting Floyd with a release German suplex, belly to back, slingblade, and big elbow drop, but can't put Floyd away. Floyd is back and hits a powerslam for 2, then connects with a swinging backdrop for the 3.

Kevin Giza & "River City Dragon" LJ defeat "The Vet Express": Apollo & Raul LaMotta. Apollo & Raul come out and challenge any two young guns in the back. The Vets attack Giza at the start. LJ & Giza come back and knock them from the ring. LJ dives out on them, then LJ holds them for Giza. The Vets move and Giza dives on LJ. Back inside, things start to break down and all 4 men are in the ring. The Vets are almost run into each other out of the corners, but stop themselves. They turn into superkicks from LJ & Giza. They both go up and LJ frog splashes, while Giza 450 splashes and they both get the 3.

"The Young Lion" Tyler Matrix, Zo, & "The Trinidadian Titan" Justin Smooth defeat Adam Revolver & "The Legacy of Brutality": Ca$h Flo & Dapper Dan. Adam & the L.O.B. work over Matrix for the majority of the match after he was pushed off the top rope on an early swanton attempt. Things break down in the end, and all 6 men hit each other with finishers. Matrix hits the swanton on Dan, but Adam pulls out the ref before the 3 and hits him. He gets in with a chair and hits Matrix. Michael Hayes comes out in a ref shirt and grabs the chair away and gets in Adam's face after calling for a DQ. Adam says he told him he was supposed to be here for Saturday only and not get in his business or he'd knock him out. He pushes Hayes, and a brawl ensues. Matrix, Zo, & Smooth have to pull Hayes off Adam.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

David Lee Lorenze III defeats Jade Dawson (w/Damion & Chace Destiny) via DQ. A back and forth match, but Chace & Damion jump in and the match has to be called. In a reversal from earlier, Rev. Stu runs in and helps David clear the ring of the Void.
Stu, Jade, & David remain in the ring and the 3 brawl to the back.

Don't forget the next Saturday Night Special is this Saturday, July 1!
Scheduled:
Big Jon defends the Heavyweight Title against Adam Revolver (Special Ref: Michael Hayes).
The Bad Boys Club defend the Southern Tag Team Titles against the Legacy of Brutality.
Cali defends the Women's Title against Mickie Knuckles in a falls count anywhere match.
