OVW TV #913: "Referee Rocco"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, February 15, 2017. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Big Jon has a special announcement, Dean Hill has an announcement about the main event of the March 4 SNS, Big Zo faces Ca$h Flo in the main event, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Cardinal defeats Dre Blitz. Cardinal with most of the offense here, and puts Blitz away with a cutter for the 3.

"The Young Lion" Tyler Matrix defeats "Shotgun" Tony Gunn by countout. A very good back and forth match. Gunn pulls the hair and hits the three amigos. Matrix with dropkicks and kicks. In the end, Matrix hits a samoan drop and goes up top for the swanton bomb, but Gunn rolls out of the ring, grabs his title, and leaves.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Gilbert Corsey, Ron Hed, & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, and Ron is the ring announcer.

Rocco Bellagio comes out and talks about being attacked by Big Jon and that he should be fired. Big Jon comes out and dares Rocco to hit him. He says his law and the fan's law far outreaches the walls of OVW. Dean Hill comes out and says he has to deal with this when he had a big announcement about the March SNS. He says the main event of that show will be the return of the Nightmare Rumble. The winner will get a shot at taking that title away from Rocco. He then says Jon had an announcement of his own. Jon says that Rocco's night is far from over. He is making him the special referee for the night. Dean adds that if Rocco doesn't call it down the middle, he will take his title and expunge his record!

Dapper Dan defeats LJDan squashes LJ, putting him away after several hard clotheslines and a Death Valley Driver for the 3. After the match, he says he came 3 years ago and was very "dapper" but no one batted an eye. Then, he decided to bring out the greatest show on earth with the craziest freaks he could find, but now he's back and ready to do things on his own.

"Wrestling's Rockstar" Diamond defeats Jade Dawson. Diamond has Jade pinned twice. The first time, Rocco Bellagio acted like he had something in his eye. The second time, Diamond hit the Chart Topper and Rocco acted like he had a leg cramp. Diamond grabs Rocco, and Rocco tries to call for a DQ, but Big Jon stops it and tells Rocco to ref. Jade kicks Diamond for the snap DDT, but Diamond reverses into the Whammy Bar and makes Jade tap.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "The King of Hairstyle" Robbie Walker (c) defeats "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles. Rocco Bellagio again turns a blind eye to what Robbie is doing when he is in control, such as choking Stu. Robbie can't put Stu away though and Stu comes back with shoulder tackles and "healing". He hits the 3 Amigos, and Rocco doesn't count. As Stu argues with Rocco, Robbie grabs his hairspray. Stu ducks Robbie's spray and takes it away. Rocco grabs it from Stu, and Robbie rolls Stu up with a handful of tights and his feet on the ropes, but Rocco counts to 3.

Shannon the Dude is in the ring with Gilbert Corsey. They show the video from Tyler Matrix flying over the announce desk and attacking Shannon last week, but Shannon says he has some revealing footage of his victory over Matrix. Matrix comes out and goes after him, but Shannon hands Gilbert some papers.
They are a restraining order against Matrix. Shannon laughs as Matrix says that he broke the code with the boys by filming something that happened after cameras stopped rolling at a Christmas party.
He says Shannon has dug his own grave and acts like he is going to hit Shannon as Shannon cowers in the corner.

Big Zo defeats Ca$h Flo. It's power vs. power early, but Zo takes Ca$h down, and again Rocco Bellagio won't pin, faking a back spasm. Big Jon comes out and argues with Rocco as Ca$h gets thrown toward the corner by Zo. Rocco gets squashed in the corner by Ca$h and Zo powerslams Ca$h and hits the Zo Bomb. Jon gets in and counts the 3. Rocco gets in after the match and gets in Jon's face and Jon again dares him to hit him as the show ends.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

You never know who might show up at OVW live! Former WWE superstar Highlander Robbie made an appearance at Davis Arena tonight.

Billy O, Kevin Giza, & Callie defeat Ultimo Stingray, Madi Maxx, & Chase Destiny after Billy hits a fameasser on Chase, followed by the 450 splash from Giza for the 3.

As always, thanks for reading!
