OVW LIVE RESULTS

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, December 28, 2016. This was NOT a TV taping, so OVW will most likely be airing a year-end review show this Saturday morning in the Louisville area. Speaking of year-end review, OVWmania has another post coming after this report giving out year-end awards, so stay tuned!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Joey Edwards is the ring announcer for the evening.

"The King of Hairstyle" Robbie Walker defeats OVW Television Champion "The Young Lion" Tyler Matrix in a non-title match. A tremendous opening matchup with several near falls. Matrix looks to be nearing victory after catching Robbie with a kick to the head off the ropes. He goes up for the swanton, but while referee Joe Wheeler is checking on Robbie, Jade Dawson runs out and pushes Matrix off the top rope. Robbie recovers and hits the Comb Over for the 3.

MIXED TAG MATCH: Billy O & Callie defeat "The Most Hated Woman in Wrestling" Maria James & Ravishing Ronnie Roberts. Maria accidentally spits water in Ronnie's face, allowing Billy O to hit him with a high knee in the corner and a powerslam for the 3.

GAUNTLET MATCH: Trevor Steele defeats LJ, Ultimo, & Carlos Gabriel.

Steele takes LJ and Ultimo out back-to-back quickly with side slams.

Carlos gets in a little quick offense, but is ultimately taken down with a torture rack slam for the 3.

"The Prince of Darkness" Jade Dawson defeats Houdini by DQ. Jade appeared to have the match won anyway after hitting Houdini with a huge DDT, but Tyler Matrix ran out looking for revenge and caused the disqualification as jade runs off.

"Shotgun" Tony Gunn defeats Kevin Giza. Gunn controls most of this match, making "Skinny Idiot" Giza a 2-time member of the Tap Out Club by making him tap to the YTO.

8-MAN TAG MATCH: "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles, Little Damion, & the OVW Southern Tag Team Champions "Big Smooth": Big Jon & Justin Smooth defeat "The Legacy of Brutality": Big Zo & Ca$h Flo (w/Josh Ashcraft) & "The Van Zandt Family Circus": Dapper Dan Van Zandt & the Ringmaster. A good main event that sees everyone get their finishers in, but as Ca$h has Damion over his head for a big press slam, Big Smooth double chokeslam Ca$h to get the 3.
