OVW TV #812: "Ready to Rumble"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, March 11, 2015. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 9AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Adam Revolver defends the OVW TV Title against Eddie Diamond, Great American Wrestling's "King of Knoxville" Shane Williams is in action, Mexicutioner is in action, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Elvis Pridemoore defeated J. Best. Best controlled early, but Elvis came back with a dropkick to Best's back that sends him into the ropes. Elvis leaps across Best draped on the ropes, slides outside and forearms Best in the face, then runs in and leaps over Best and rolls him up for the 3.

Dapper Dan defeated Dave-Lo after hitting the German suplex for the 3. Dave got in a little offense, but the match was mainly controlled by Dan.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Dean Hill & Terry Boddie are on commentary, and Terry is the ring announcer.

"The No Class Connection": Deonta Davis & Leon Shelly (w/J. Best) comes out followed by the NEW OVW Southern Tag Team Champions, "Walk on the Wylde Side": Adam Wylde & "Primetime" Robbie Walker. They are attacked by "The War Machine": Big Jon & Eric Locker. Robbie is drug to the back and Wylde is beaten and thrown back into the ring to a fresh No Class Connection. After double-teaming and interference by Best that distracts the ref, No Class hits a double rock bottom to Wylde for the 3.
Locker & Big Jon come back out with Josh Ashcraft. Josh asks who Robbie Walker & Adam Wylde are. He says the titles belong with the War Machine, and Wylde & Walker can do things the easy way or the hard way, because one way or another, they will have the titles.

"Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe defeated "Rudo" Raul LaMotta. Raul attacks Howe to start the match and gets in some chops, but Howe works over Raul's arm/shoulder, and makes him tap to the Whammy Bar.

"The King of Knoxville" Shane Williams (from Great American Wrestling) defeats SK Eveslage. Shane won fairly quickly after a standing vertical suplex and a flying fist drop.
Williams goes to piledrive SK, but gets ran off again by Randy Royal. Royal says Williams is either deaf or "stuck on stupid". He tells Williams again that he isn't going to come in and take out our guys.

The Mexicutioner defeated Dapper Dan. Mex wins relatively quickly with the spear.
After the match, Terry Boddie enters the ring and says he got tons of messages on social media praising Mex on doing the right thing at the Saturday Night Special. He thanks Mex for being a good role model. Mex says it was a good match and Walker & Wylde deserved to win. Terry asks about Randy Terrez. Mex says he hopes to talk to him and Terrez walks out. Terrez asks Terry for the mic.
He says he reviewed the tape over and over and realizes how wrong his judgment was. Mex says Terrez helped him when he was down with Titus Enterprises, and he can return the favor. Terrez attacks Mex and says his judgment was wrong about Mex. He's been carrying him and teaming with him has been his biggest mistake in the 4 years he's been at OVW.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Adam Revolver (c) vs. Eddie Diamond goes to a no-contest. Eddie tried to lock in the Cripwalk Crossface, but Revolver escaped the hold and tried to walk out. Rump Thump brought him back through the curtain and rolled him back in the ring where Eddie was able to fully lock in the Crossface.
Dapper Dan attacked Rump on the outside and they brawled into the ring.
The War Machine then came out before the locker rooms emptied and pretty much every superstar was in the ring.
This gave fans a glimpse of what to expect in next week's NIGHTMARE RUMBLE!

This ended the TV taping.

During intermission, Chris Silvio & Trevor Steele came out. Silvio reminded the fans about next Friday's Friday Night Fights at Derby Park Expo 5 presented by Round Peg Promotions & OVW. He said they will be in a Louisville street fight, but no one has signed the dotted line to face them. Ryan Howe comes out and says he'd be more than happy to beat them both by himself, but he has an idea in mind for a partner, and will let Silvio know next week.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

OVW Heavyweight Champion Mohamad Ali Vaez (w/"The Congregation": Jade Dawson, "Apostle" Jake Glasure, & "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles) defeated Rump Thump. Rump was on a roll at the end, but interference from the Congregation and Dapper Dan allowed Ali to hit the neckbreaker from behind for the 3.

NEXT WEEK: The Nightmare Rumble returns on OVW TV! Winner will be #1 contender for the OVW Heavyweight Title!

As always, thanks for reading!
