OVW TV #810: "You Gotta Have Faith"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, February 25, 2015. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 9AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, the OVW Heavyweight Title match that was supposed to happen last week in E-Town: Mohamad Ali Vaez defends against Ryan Howe, Rump Thump defends the OVW T Title against Adam Revolver, Jeff Jarrett is in the house, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Before the show, Jeff Jarrett met with fans, selling GFW merchandise, signing autographs, and taking pictures.

Elvis Pridemoore defeated Timmy Danger following a jawbreaker.

"Rudo" Raul LaMotta defeated Leon Shelly (w/Deonta Davis) after hitting the double underhook DDT despite interference by Deonta.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Terry Boddie is the ring announcer.

Jim Cornette comes out and brings out our special guest, Jeff Jarrett! Cornette asks Jeff about Global Force Wrestling and what fans can expect this year. Jeff starts out by saying that the pay-per-view they had with New Japan Pro Wrestling was fantastic. He talks about being able to have Jim Ross at ringside, and all the great talent he was able to work with. He also says he continues to look for great talent to work with in the future.
He is interrupted by Josh Ashcraft and the new War Machine (Big Jon & Eric Locker). Josh says it's an honor to meet Jeff and says he has sent several texts and messages to Jeff. He says if Jeff is looking for the best talent, then look no further than the War Machine. He went ahead and made up a contract for 5 years and all Jeff has to do is sign it. Jeff says that he is looking for the best and knows that OVW has provided a lot of top stars, but he trusts the opinion of the fans. Most of the fans are chanting "no", and Jeff tells Josh "thanks, but no thanks". Josh gets upset and pokes Jeff in the chest, saying he is making a mistake. Jeff asks Josh if he just put his hands on him. Jeff grabs Josh, but the War Machine surrounds Jeff and attacks him. Cornette is pushed down in the process, and he goes to the back.
Trailer Park Trash & Danny Davis run out, and the War Machine runs off. Jim Cornette says they will figure things out in the back and that the War Machine & Ashcraft embarrassed OVW and the city of Louisville. They will have to pay.

"EFD" Eddie Diamond defeated Dapper Dan. Dan hit several power moves, but EFD came back with a reversal into the Cripwalk Crossface for the tapout.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Adam Revolver defeats Rump Thump (c). Rump was firing away on Revolver, but Revolver locked in the sleeper. Rump fought out, and Revolver got frustrated and went outside for a chair. He came in to hit Rump, but Rump kicked him and grabbed the chair. Joe Wheeler takes it away, and Adam rolls Rump up from behind with a handful of tights for the 3.

"The King of Knoxville" Shane Williams (from Great American Wrestling) defeats J. Best. Best was on a roll until missing a kneedrop. Williams slams Best and hits a flying fistdrop for the 3.
Williams goes to piledrive Best, but gets ran off by the returning Randy Royal! Royal says he hasn't always seen eye-to-eye with the fans, but they can all agree that no outsider is going to come in and take out our guys.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe defeated Mohamad Ali Vaez (c) by DQ. Howe was attacked before the match by the Congregation, but came back and worked over Ali's arm. He locked in the Whammy Bar, but Ali got to the ropes.
He locked it in again, but before Ali could tap, the Congregation came out again and attacked Howe.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

The Assassin defeated Deonta Davis (w/Leon Shelly). Assassin hits a powerslam on Deonta, and then one on Leon who runs in. He lays over both of them for the 3.

"Walk on the Wylde Side": Adam Wylde & "Primetime" Robbie Walker defeated Jade Dawson & "Apostle" Jake Glasure (w/"The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles). After a hot tag to Wylde, Wylde fires away on Jade & Jake, hitting a double dropkick that knocks Jake outside. Robbie leaps over the top rope onto Jake & Miles. Back inside, Wylde hits a springboard reverse kick to Jade off the ropes for the 3.

NEXT WEEK: Jim Cornette will announce what happened in a closed-door meeting with Jeff Jarrett & Danny Davis and how that will affect the War Machine & Josh Ashcraft. Plus, will the OVW Southern Tag Team Title match happen between TerreMex & Walk on the Wylde Side? It was also announced that following the SNS on Saturday, March 7, the Nightmare Rumble returns on OVW TV on Wednesday, March 11!

As always, thanks for reading!
