OVW TV #808: "Prophecy Fulfilled"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, February 11, 2015. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 9AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, we hear from the Congregation, new TV Champion Rump Thump defends against Raul LaMotta, the grand prize is presented to the Nightmare Cup Winners, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

The Mexicutioner (w/Randy Terrez) defeated Shiloh Jonze (w/Josh Ashcraft & Eric Locker). Shiloh attacked early and controlled most of the match, until Mex started firing back. Josh distracts the ref and Terrez is arguing with Josh and the ref. Locker gets on the apron and holds Mex, but Shiloh accidentally hits Locker off the apron. Mex rolls Shiloh up for the 3, and Josh looks disgusted.

"The No Class Connection": Leon Shelly & Deonta Davis defeated The Assassin & Dave-Lo after a double team to Dave-Lo behind the ref's back, as the ref was trying to keep Assassin in his corner.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Terry Boddie is the ring announcer.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Rump Thump (c) defeats "Rudo" Raul LaMotta. Raul had the early advantage, but Rump came back with a flying uppercut, a running knee, and the Thump for the 3.

The Congregation comes to the ring with "Apostle" Jake Glasure & "Altar Boy" Jade Dawson lugging out a tub of water, followed closely behind by "Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles. Miles says the prophecy has been fulfilled and he calls out the new OVW Heavyweight Champion, Mohamad Ali Vaez.
Ali comes out and they are going to do a foot washing, but are quickly interrupted by Michael Hayes. Hayes takes out Jade and Jake as Ali escapes the ring. Miles turns into the facebuster and Hayes dunks Miles' head repeatedly in the tub of water. Hayes wants a rematch.
Jim Cornette comes out and says after what happened at Saturday Night Special, he will grant him that rematch tonight! To be sure they know where the Congregation is, all 3 men will be handcuffed to the ringposts. Cornette goes to leave as former champion Adam Revolver comes out. Adam says he should get his automatic rematch clause. Cornette tells him he can have a rematch February 21 in E-Town if he beats his opponent in a match right now against Ryan Howe. If Howe wins, Howe gets the title shot.
"Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe defeated Adam Revolver in a back and forth match by pinfall after hitting a cross body off the ropes. Howe gets the title shot in E-Town.

The War Machine comes to the ring with Josh Ashcraft to be interviewed by Gilbert Corsey. Jim Cornette comes out and says he is going to take a few seconds of their time to let them know that they will have a rematch against the men they cost a chance at winning the Nightmare Cup, Danny Davis & Trailer Park Trash, in E-Town on the 21st. Josh says they'll worry about that later, the main concern is the loss at Saturday Night Special. He's not concerned about the trophy, and title shots will come, but he's upset at Shiloh for costing them the payoff of $10,000. Josh says that him & Locker should be paid their cut by Shiloh. Shiloh says that while he was pinned, Josh was on the floor counting his teeth after a super kick from Robbie Walker, and Locker was counting stars after getting knocked out, leaving him to be pinned. Shiloh says he is not paying him $3,333. Josh says it would be $3,333.33 actually. Shiloh tells him to kiss him where the sun don't shine and tells Locker to go. Locker doesn't and Shiloh sees that Locker is still on Josh's side. Shiloh hits Locker, but gets blasted from Big Jon!
Jon & Locker take Shiloh out and it appears that Big Jon is now the newest client of Josh Ashcraft's.

"Apostle" Jake Glasure (w/"Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles & "Altar Boy" Jade Dawson) defeated Eddie Diamond. Eddie was in charge, but Jade distracted the ref. Eddie went to the top rope, but Miles jumped up on the apron and shoved him off into the arms of Jake. Jake hit a big powerslam for the 3.

Walk on the Wylde Side come to the ring to be interviewed by Gilbert Corsey. Gilbert congratulates them on winning the Nightmare Cup, and Dean Hill walks up to ringside to hand them the check for $10,000. Robbie Walker thanks Jim Cornette for giving them the opportunity, then thanks the fans for their support. Gilbert says they are also #1 contenders now and asks when they plan on cashing in. Adam Wylde says it's because of the fans they were able to pull through and it's because of the fans that they are cashing in their shot next week on OVW TV! This brings out TerreMex.
Mexicutioner congratulates them, but Randy Terrez is not so happy. He says he's busted his butt for 15 years and he's not going to let 2 guys with their long blond hair and matching tights waltz in and take away the titles. Mex & Terrez argue again as they leave the ring, and Walker & Wylde are in action next.
"Walk on the Wylde Side": Adam Wylde & "Primetime" Robbie Walker defeat "The No Class Connection": Deonta Davis & Leon Shelly. No Class rushed the ring and attacked Walker & Wylde into the corners. They went to throw them into each other, but Walker & Wylde reverse and roll them both up for the 3.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Michael Hayes defeated Mohamad Ali Vaez (c) by DQ. Hayes hit the facebuster to Ali, but Jake Glasure was able to pull the ref out to stop the count. Hayes went after Jake and hit the ref by mistake. As Hayes was pounding on Jake, Ali rolled out and grabbed the key to the handcuffs off the ref's neck. The Congregation was all freed and beat down on Hayes. The ref returned to his senses and called for the bell.
Rump Thump & Dave-Lo tried to come help, but the Congregation kept them out, as well as Eddie Diamond. Ryan Howe, Robbie Walker, & Adam Wylde all came out and made it into the ring. Wylde & Walker both hit superkicks to Jade Dawson & Jake Glasure. Ali escapes again, and Miles gets surrounded by Howe, Diamond, Rump, Dave-Lo, and Wylde & Walker. Wylde & Walker hit a double superkick to Miles.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Eddie Diamond defeated Dapper Dan. Dan went for the German suplex, but Eddie reversed it into the Cripwalk Crossface for the tapout.

NEXT WEEK: Robbie Walker & Adam Wylde get their OVW Southern Tag Team Title shot against TerreMex! Will Randy Terrez & the Mexicutioner be able to coexist?

As always, thanks for reading!
