OVW TV #753: "Did Sharpe Survive?"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, January 22, 2014. This episode can be seen online starting tomorrow at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Jamin Olivencia & Chris Sharpe go up against Marcus Anthony & Timmy Danger, Jay Bradley continues to show how he is the Ultimate Fighting Machine, Dylan Bostic finds a new wing man, 10 superstars were selected to compete in a Nightmare Scramble, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

The Bodyguy (w/4M: "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus) vs. Eddie F. Diamond.
The two went back and forth early, exchanging armbars. Bodyguy was frazzled by the crowd cheering for Melvin. EFD missed the Soulja Boy Shuffle, but Bodyguy was unable to capitalize, and EFD was able to take him down with the Cripwalk Crossface for the tapout.
WINNER: EFD by submission.

"The Party Starter" Bud Dwight vs. "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe.
Several arm holds between these two, but it was Howe who came out on top after Dwight missed a leap off the top rope, and Howe dropped him into a sharpshooter for the tapout.
WINNER: HOWE by submission.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on OVW's official website late Thursday afternoon/evening at www.ovwrestling.com/tv and on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM with replays Wednesdays at 9PM after WWE Main Event.

Chris Sharpe comes out and grabs a mic. He says Timmy Danger forced him to disqualify him a couple weeks ago, and he ended up screwing over his best friend. He calls Jamin Olivencia to the ring.
He tells Jamin that he is not a wrestler. Jamin said he promised to make this right. Sharpe wants to find another way, but Jamin says there is no other way. He will be his partner tonight and make things right.

Leon Shelly & "The Pastor of Disaster" Reverend Stuart Miles vs. "THE WING MEN": "The Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling" Dylan Bostic & "Mr. Pec-Tacular" Jessie Godderz (w/Ray Lyn).
Dylan brings Jessie out as his new partner, saying he thinks he has finally found the Ultimate Wing Man. Dylan & Jessie pretty much dominate, taking down the Reverend, and then after a blind tag, taking down Leon as well. Jessie hits a powerbomb on Leon, and it is followed up by a flying elbow drop from Dylan for the 3.
WINNERS: WING MEN by pinfall.

NIGHTMARE SCRAMBLE: (10 participants enter the ring one at a time, just as they will next week in the Nightmare Rumble. The first superstar eliminated will enter first in next week's Nightmare Rumble, and the winner will enter last).
Trailer Park Trash enters the ring first, followed by Adam Revolver. Brittany Devore comes out with both of the OVW Southern Tag Team Title belts around her waist. Tony Gunn enters third and goes after Trash. Things don't get easier for Trash, as Shiloh Jonze is #4.
Eddie Diamond is out for #5, and Flash Flanagan is sixth. The other Marauders come to the ring and distract Flash & Trash. Shiloh & Gunn dump them out of the ring. Flash & Trash fight with the Marauders on the outside, then pull Shiloh & Gunn out of the ring, eliminating them.
Bodyguy is out seventh, Melvin Maximus is 8th, Ted McNaler is 9th, and Lei'D Tapa is the 10th and final superstar in this scramble. Bodyguy keeps yelling at Melvin to do what he says, and tells Melvin to eliminate himself so he can win.
Melvin gets in Bodyguy's face, but when Tapa comes to the ring, she takes out everyone.
She chokeslams McNaler and hits a TKO on Bodyguy and yells to bow down. A masked person runs in the ring and takes her leg out with a tire iron. Jessie Belle, Lovely Lylah, & Ray Lyn come to the ring and help her to the back, so Tapa is out of the Scramble. The match continues, and Michael Hayes & Mohamad Ali Vaez come out and rip the belts off of Brittany Devore at ringside. The Mobile Homers jump over the top rope, eliminating themselves, and fight with Ali & Hayes on the outside. The Mobile Homers retreat and McNaler has one of the titles, so Ali & Hayes got one of them back. EFD eliminates Bodyguy, and Melvin comes up behind EFD and dumps him out.
WINNER and FINAL ENTRANT in the NIGHTMARE RUMBLE: MELVIN.
(Flash & Trash will have to enter 1 & 2).

Jay Bradley comes out with Mongo the Cut Man, and he now has his own championship belt. His opponent, Robbie Walker, is already in the ring and Shannon the Dude comes in with a mic. Jay says this isn't about wrestling, it's about fighting. He says the rules are no eye pokes like this, as he pokes Robbie in the eye, no strikes to the throat, as he strikes Robbie in the throat, and no hits below the belt like this, as he kicks Robbie below the belt...
Robbie Walker vs. Jay Bradley (w/Mongo the Cut Man).
Jay kicks at him and then makes him tap to a leg submission.
WINNER: BRADLEY by submission.
A podium is brought into the ring as Jay is now going to have a press conference. He shouts out to his sponsors and then says he is the Ultimate Fighting Machine. There isn't a mark or a scratch on him, because he is undefeated and doesn't tap out. He is not like Ryan Howe. Howe then comes out as Jay is "taking questions from the press". He says Jay is full of crap, and that he made him tap at the last Saturday Night Special. He challenges him to a submission match at the next Saturday Night Special. Jay says there's only air between them, how about right now? Howe runs in the ring, but Jay pushes Mongo into him.
Jay is able to take advantage and lock Howe in a rear naked chokehold. Howe doesn't tap, but passes out.

Marcus Anthony & Timmy Danger vs. Jamin Olivencia & Chris Sharpe.
Before the match can get underway, Gilbert Corsey stands up and says he is getting word from the back that Chris Sharpe cannot wrestle. He says it won't be allowed by the Kentucky Wrestling Authority, so Jamin will have to fight Marcus & Danger by himself. Dean Hill then stands up and says that Danny Davis has caught wind of what's going on and that this will be a one-on-one match with Jamin Olivencia vs. Marcus Anthony, and Timmy Danger will be handcuffed to Chris Sharpe on the outside! If Danger refuses, Marcus will forfeit! Danger reluctantly gets handcuffed.
Marcus Anthony vs. Jamin Olivencia.
Jamin starts out on fire, hitting Marcus with some quick offense and the kamikaze splashes in the corner. Jamin gets caught by Marcus and Marcus lifts him on his shoulders. Referee Josh Ashcraft gets knocked out and Marcus slams Jamin down. Marcus then sets his eyes on Sharpe. Danger is holding onto the ringpost. Jamin rolls out and goes after Marcus, but Danger pulls out a bag of powder and hits Jamin with it, getting it in his eyes. Marcus grabs Jamin and throws him head first into the steel ringpost. He rolls him back inside, wakes up Josh, and gets the 3.
WINNER: MARCUS by pinfall.
Sharpe gets unlocked and goes to check on Jamin as EFD and Ryan Howe come out as well. Sharpe sticks his hand out, but Jamin gets up himself. Sharpe sticks his hand out again, but Jamin shakes his head no, and instead hugs him.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

"THE WING MEN": "The Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling" Dylan Bostic & "Mr. Pec-Tacular" Jessie Godderz (w/Ray Lyn) vs. Mohamad Ali Vaez & Michael Hayes.
A good back and forth match. Godderz & Bostic controlled for a bit, but Hayes & Ali came back and finished Dylan off with the kneebuster to the face from Hayes and neckbreaker from Ali for the 3.
WINNERS: ALI & HAYES by pinfall.

Don't forget the Nightmare Rumble is next week! This episode of OVW TV will be up online tomorrow. As always, thanks for reading!
